“Follow-Learn-Lead” -Terri Lee Freeman

We can all follow and learn in order to lead from new Memphian Terri Lee Freeman. Terri is the President of the National Civil Rights Museum and spoke at the October NEXUS Session. She is originally from the Baltimore/DC area but now proudly calls Memphis her home. She spoke on the topic of “Leading Through Change” as a leader and was dynamic. Leadership points she shared has developed her into the leader she is today.

  • Know the difference Between Leadership and Management-Leaders have vision and Managers get things done
  • Follow-Learn-Lead-Following is part of leading
  • Leaders Require Followers-Good leaders have willing followers
  • Leaders Build and Value People-Great leaders develop people
